Not to be confused with regular gold plating, gold vermeil is a much thicker layer of gold which gives the pieces their long-lasting color. For a piece to be considered gold vermeil, the gold must be a minimum of 10k and 1.5 microns. This jewelry has a 2.5 micron layer of 18k gold layered on sterling silver.
Care: Sweat, water and chemical products are a No No! Before swimming, exercising or showering, remove your vermeil jewelry. Avoid lotions, hairsprays, and perfumes. Clean your piece by buffing gently with a dry cloth.
Solid Sterling Silver is 92.5% silver which is harder than pure silver, making it ideal for jewelry. Please avoid moisture and chemicals including lotions, hairsprays, perfumes and chlorine. Wash with warm water and soap, and wipe dry. Polish with a specialized cloth, or cleaning solution.
